Your Quick Guide To A Weekend In St. Petersburg, FL

Grab your girlfriends and pack your bikinis to get that taste of summer and glimmer of hope you need as winter drags on!

Hit breakfast on the way from the airport at Taylor Sam’s

As a Jersey girl, I was not disappointed to have breakfast where they sell Taylor ham. There was a bit of a wait, but the breakfast made it worthwhile. Who knew this restaurant had a location in Brick, NJ? Not me. We got Paco's breakfast and Taylor's Benedict, which was delicious!

Rent a day pass at the famous Don Cesar pink palace here.

Experience a luxury beach day with their day pass granting you access to their private beach, the two pools that bookend the bar where drinks like frozen pina coladas are available. Hit the fitness center if you're that type of vacationer. You can shower at the hotel, which means you can bring a change of clothes to have dinner at their on-site restaurant.

Tip: book EARLY to get a good deal (and if you want to include the spa pass) demand can increase the price

Early dinner drinks at Cane and Barrel rooftop bar

Watch the cotton candy skies disappear into the night from this rooftop bar in downtown St. Petersburg. Grab a signature cocktail or a spicy margarita before my dinner recommendation below. I got Frida's Flowers, which looks a hell of a lot better than it tastes.

Dinner at Social Roost

All four dishes we got looked and tasted amazing. They can be comfort-food-type filling, so split something if you're hitting the bars right after and don't want to take food home. Try the Shrimp & grits, Chicken Pot Pie, or Peruvian Chicken.

Start your bar-hopping at Tequila Daisy

The best place on earth. At least that's what I thought when we were there, sipping on my cocktail with a coconut ice pop in it. There are around 40 cocktails, a dance area, and overall a good time.

End at Joey Brooklyn's Famous Pizza Kitchen
